{Pinterest for Planners}

If you haven't guessed already, I LOVE Pinterest!
From planning the perfect wedding to sharing decorating tips, Pinterest is a powerful tool for planning, managing and hosting any event.

This is an online bulletin board where you can “pin” photos of things you like. You can create several boards for different topics or themes. Once a photo has been pinned, you can add a link back to the source. Your pins can help you communicate to others -- and clarify for yourself -- what you want your day to look like, instead of tearing pages out of magazines or bookmarking entire web pages.

With its clean, uncomplicated layout, it is a fantastic way to visually display your ideas from decorations to recipes. Some ideas for using Pinterest are... brainstorming, DIY ideas, to do lists, sharing photos, recipes and even exercise tips for your big day!

  Have you thrown a party using Pinterest? What are your favorite party pins? I'd love to hear more about them and follow your boards. So sign up at Pinterest and follow me here!

{White Bridesmaid Dresses}

pinterest.com

Yesterday I had a friend ask me what I thought about white bridesmaid dresses. I discovered that what was once a taboo, has definetly become a trend.  Nude, cream colored, and white bridesmaid dresses have been popping up everywhere, from the Kardashians to Kate and Pippa at the royal wedding!

  Personallly, I think white bridesmaid dresses can really work, but only if there's enough contrast between the maids dresses and the wedding dress. For instance, if the wedding dress is long then the maids dresses should be short, or you could even use colored sashes or accents.

I am curious to hear your thoughts. Will your bridesmaid’s be wearing white?

{ April Showers Bring May Flowers }

 This time of year there is one thing that can that can be a downfall to any spring event -rain!

The weather may be unpredictable, but rain or shine, your event must go on, right?
So stop worrying about the chance of rain and fully embraced it (even welcomed it) by picking a gorgeous umbrella theme.  After all,  rain on your special day can be considered a stroke of luck, which symbolizes blessings, cleansing and restoration.

Hang paper parasols upside-down from the ceiling, color coordinate rain boots, rain hats or umbrellas for your entire wedding party or even give your guests their own monogrammed umbrella. Here are some sweet, lovely ideas.....

You see, regardless of the weather, your event will be sure to leave your guests
"singing and dancing in the rain"!
